How to setup VDP compatible doorbells

The following article provides instructions on how to setup remote access to your doorbell on your phone or tablet.

Please note: In order for this to work, you must be connected to the same WiFi network as your doorbell for the initial setup.

Phone/Tablet

You can access your doorbell using your mobile device so long as it's running on Android or iOS.

  1. Download the VDP app:
  2. Tap the + icon or Add Device
  3. Select your doorbell from the list
  4. Tap Next
  5. Enter your WiFi Password and tap Next
  6. Select LAN Connection
  7. Wait for until the app searches for your doorbell
  8. Select your device from the list by tapping the square on the right and then tap Next
  9. Tap on WiFi Doorbell
  10. Enter the password kcts1234 (all lowercase)
  11. We strongly suggest you change this generic/default password.
