Share with family
The person who set the doorbell up is the owner. They can invite others as Shared Users.
Shared Users can open Live View, talk through the doorbell, see Event History and control their own phone alerts. They cannot add more people, delete the doorbell, or change motion settings.
- Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
- Tap the menu (☰), then Settings.
- Tap User Permissions, then Invite User.
- Tap Family, friend or employee.
- Enter their name and email address.
- Pick the location and the doorbells or cameras they should see.
- Choose a permission level (Advanced, Standard or Limited), review it, then tap Send Invite.
- They must create their own Ring account with that email, then accept the invite in the Ring app.
Do not share your own Ring login. Each person needs their own account. Official steps: Shared Users.
