Change a user code

You need the master manager code we set at install. Ordinary user codes can set and unset; they cannot always change other people.

  1. The alarm must be unset.
  2. Press D, then enter the master manager code (or present the manager tag).
  3. Press NO until you see EDIT USERS (on some panels this is CHANGE CODES), then YES.
  4. Choose Delete/Change User (press NO if it first asks to add a new user).
  5. Scroll to the user, or type the user number, then YES.
  6. Enter the new code (usually 4 digits; some systems need 5). Asterisks show when it is accepted. Press YES.
  7. Leave the rest of the prompts as they are (user type, areas, Flexi-Set) unless we told you otherwise. Press YES through them.
  8. Press A on a main menu title to leave the manager menu.
  9. Test: unset is already done — set and unset once with the new code.

Do not use 0000 or obvious dates. Each person should have their own code. Adding a new user, a tag or a keyfob is easy to get wrong — ask us rather than guessing the user number.

If it says Authorisation Required when an engineer visits, that is Allow Engineer Menu in this same manager list. Turn it to Yes before we arrive, or we cannot get in.
