Fault lights on your Pyronix keypad

A flashing Alert light means the keypad has something to tell you. Enter your code, read the message, then try Yes to clear it if the fault has gone.

  1. Look for the flashing Alert light on the keypad.
  2. Enter your usual user code, or present your tag / fob (the same as when you unset).
  3. Read the words on the display. If more than one fault is listed, use No to step through them and note each message.
  4. When you understand the message, press Yes to try to dismiss it — only after the problem is fixed, or after a short power cut that has already come back.
  5. If the Alert light comes back, or the same words return, contact us and tell us the exact text on the screen.
  • Mains fail / Mains absent — the panel has lost mains and is running on the battery. Check the fused spur or plug and the house power. After power returns, enter your code and press Yes. If it is still showing, book an engineer visit. See also mains and battery faults.
  • Service required — the system needs an engineer, either for a service or for a fault we must fix. Enter your code, read the detail, and press Yes only if we have said it is safe to clear. Book a visit or contact us with the full message — do not ignore it.
  • Battery fault — the panel battery, or a named wireless device battery. Do not open the panel. Contact us to book a visit. See mains and battery faults.
  • Open zone / unable to set — a door, window or detector is open. See unable to set.
