Reconnect a Wi‑Fi camera after a router change

After a new router or Wi‑Fi name/password, wireless cameras often need pairing again (QR or app). Wired recorders are different — see ISP/router change help.

  1. Put the new Wi‑Fi name and password somewhere you can type carefully.
  2. In the camera / manufacturer app we set you up with, choose add or reconnect camera (often a QR scan on the camera or a sticker).
  3. Complete the Wi‑Fi setup so the camera joins the new network.
  4. If you cannot finish setup, a temporary option is to set the new router’s Wi‑Fi name and password to match the old ones, then change them later with us on a visit.
  5. Confirm live view works. If only some cameras fail, tell us which ones.

Wired cameras and the recorder / NVR after a network change are different — follow new router or ISP.

Important: do not factory-reset a recorder unless we ask you to.
